Meet the Coaches

Jason Sousa
Jason has been active in sports since a young age. It was through soccer, however, that he found his path to competitive sports. A Canadian national champion at Under 17, he later went on to play four years of NCAA soccer with State Univeristy of New York. A three time All-American, he went on to become a first round draft pick in the USL pro league (US Division 2) with the Rochester Rhinos. After a short professional career, Jason returned to Ontario, where he won the Ontario Provincial League, and was named the Ontario Soccer League MVP in 2012.
Jason returned to the United States to join the coaching staff at Le Moyne College (NCAA Division 1), where he helped lead the program to their first ever final four appearance. During his coaching career at the college, Jason completed his masters in Sports Education. He wrote his masters thesis on the most effective methods of developing youth athletes, an area of personal passion.
Over the last ten years, Jason has been actively coaching youth in the local community. His education has continued, with visits to top academies in Brazil, Portugal, and Germany to understand how those methodologies can be applied here with aspiring Canadian athletes. He continues to be a big advocate for getting youth involved in sports, with the objective of teaching them real-life skills through sports to set them up for success in life.
